| Although our work concentrates on elderly
cats, we are often asked to find new homes for a variety
of cats. The reasons for re-homing a cat are numerous
but whatever the circumstances, we pride ourselves on
being able to match cats with new owners.
We never let a cat go to a new home until we are sure
the match will be as perfect as possible. This means we
assess the cats thoroughly for temperament, behavioural
problems and health. If we are not 100% sure we will not
re-home a cat, instead they will join our increasing
number of long-term house guests! (please see our
sponsoring pages if you think you can help with
sponsoring).
All cats are taken to the vets (we use a homeopathic
vet) and given a clean bill
of health before being passed on to a new home, this may
include neutering, worming and anything else needed to
ensure the cat is as healthy as it can be.
We also have kittens occasionally but are very very
careful about re-homing them. We need to be assured that
the home is 'for life', but please contact us to discuss
re-homing a cat or kitten, we will be happy to talk to
you. We do insist on kittens being neutered as soon as
they are old enough and are happy to discuss doing this
with interested re-homers. New
Homes for Cats and Kittens
Despite being
the “Old cat People’, we often have in our
care kittens all
seeking good home. All are lovely and friendly so if you
are interested please phone us on 01691 830539.
Another aspect
of cat rescue work we like to do is to go onto farms to
trap cats and kittens. If the kittens are young enough
we can re-home them; mothers and toms can neutered and
returned to the farms. This provides a stable working
colony for farmers. However, we can always find and
supply working cats if required.
We are always
looking for smallholdings, stables or farms who need
neutered working cats. We can supply all the advice and
equipment necessary for the successful introduction of
cats to their new environment. Again, please please
phone ark or Stella on 01691 830539 for further details.
Click here for pics of our latest arrivals and
contact us (please say you saw us on the website) to
discuss re-homing them.
