Sponsoring?

Do you like cats?...but aren't able to own one?

At Argae, "The Old Cat People" have a number of older cats who can't be homed for various reasons together with some lovely 'mature' cats who would love to find a new home. Click on the re-homing tab to find out more information about them, but read on for information about how you can sponsor a cat.

For a small (or large!) donation you can sponsor one of our cats. Generally, these cats are too old to be re-homed or may have medical problems which prevent them being placed with a family. We care for them for the rest of their lives, making sure they have plenty of love and affection and take care of their individual needs. What you can do is share the responsibility of looking after these senior-citizen cats through our sponsoring scheme; you will receive a photo of your 'oldie' and a regular update on their health and adventures. You would be welcome to come and visit, if you are able, as well. Mark and Stella will happily phone you to chat about how your sponsored chappie or chappess is getting on.

If you are interested in finding out more about sponsoring a cat, please call Mark or Stella on 01691 830539. They will always find time for a chat with you; if they aren't close to a phone, do leave a message on the answer-phone and they will return your call as soon as they are able. They pride themselves on their friendly approach to this much needed work and would love to hear from you.

Below are some of our long-term guests!

BERTIE came to us via the RSPCA after being rescued from a farm by a kindly lady. He has turned from being a wild farm cat to a big softy despite having his back leg pinned in three places after being shot. He is a long term resident as we have to monitor his progress
The last cat from a farm colony, SABLE was one of 35 cats we managed to trap and neuter over two years. The occupants of the farm had moved and Sable was the last cat left there all alone. A relative brought her to us where it was found she had a bad eye and was slightly deaf. She has been allowed to do her own thing here but is still very timid
Debbie was one of three cats that came from Llangollen because the owner was having a baby. The other two were homed quite quickly but Debbie was always ignored. We think this was because of her colour; she is a dark brindle tortoiseshell. She also has a torn ear and a broken tooth due to a car accident before she came to us. She is very talkative and very friendly. She is approximately ten years old.

DEBBIE HAS FOUND A NEW HOME! However, we do have a baby Debbie (kitten) if you would like to rehome a kitten?

Sponsoring  a kitten s a good idea to provide the specialist care and food they need - please ring to find out more!
